Hey Pretty! I’m not sure how we’ve already blown through January, not to mention half of February. For me personally, I’m pretty sure it has something to do with how sick I was with covid and then bronchitis, lots of sleeping, a few panic attacks, some Netflix binges, and all sprinkled with more e-learning days than I can count. Needless to say, the new year goals I felt so strongly about Jan 1st, fizzled out as quickly as a sparkler on 4th of July and here I am, in the middle of February trying to regroup and tell myself that it’s not too late! Chances are, I’m not the only one!
So here I am, alive, and seriously no joke, enjoying another e-learning day (God Bless our teachers for doing this every day). Aside all of that though, I’m ready to get back on track with my goal for this year, Self Care.
As women, especially as mom’s, we tend to pour from an empty cup. I’m really trying to be more intentional about filling my own cup every now and then this year. I’m trying to be more intentional about carving out a little time for me.

Outside of starting the new year off really sick (and who knows, maybe that was God’s way of me taking the break and getting the rest that I needed) there have been a few steps that I’ve already taken to head in the right direction.
My good friend, Jami with Amazing Graze, gifted me a daily devotional. Jesus Calling, has been the perfect way for me to start each day. Once I get the kids out of the house, I sit down with this and make sure that I’m making time with God, before anything else. I highly recommend this devotional + finding yourself a friend like Jami if you don’t already have one.
Next, Nikki and I try to meet up to workout before we start our work day. I needed this. I need an accountability partner. Otherwise, I’m a “I’ll start on Monday” kind of girl that never follows through. We’ve rounded up some comfy workout styles below. One of our favorites, Zella can usually be found at a great price at Nordstrom Rack. Target’s All In Motion Line is also one of my favorites for sports bras, leggings, and camis.
Still on my list of must-do’s is getting my house deep cleaned and organized to help with stress. Stay tuned for that, hopefully it won’t be a solid six months before I manage to start that hefty task.

Another one of our favorite lines (that I seem to live in these days) is 90 Degrees by Reflex. I’m pretty much wearing my two hoodies from there on repeat, lately! They are both extremely soft and comfortable and perfect for throwing on from going to the gym to picking my kids from school. Nordstrom Rack also has a good assortment of this line, usually for a great price.
Here are a few more favorites we picked out for you.
